  • STEM Competitions for K-12 Students

    K-12 Students: May the Force Be With You Student Challenge

    CALLING ALL STUDENTS!! Force is all around us – and we see examples of it every day without realizing it! ORISE wants you to go on a scavenger hunt and find an example of force! TWELVE prizes will be awarded with three winners per grade band— three for K-2nd, three for 3rd-5th, three for 6th-8th, and three for 9th-12th.

    Future of Science Awards call for nominations!

    These prestigious awards recognize excellence performed by ORISE participants in the areas of scientific achievement, professional growth, project contributions, and leadership. Mentors and leaders at sponsoring organizations may nominate outstanding participants from May 1, 2024 through July 26, 2024. New this year: ORISE participants may recognize their exceptional mentors. Eligible mentors must have been an active ORISE mentor for at least one day within the period of Aug. 1, 2023, through July 31, 2024.
