QA Specialist (Program Specialist Senior)
PURPOSE: To perform quality assurance (QA) procedures in support of information system products and services to ensure that standards and end-user requirements have been met.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Identify, diagnose, and perform release testing/verification through established QA processes.
Develop QA testing plans and processes.
Maintains status (prepare, update, and track) issue logs and provide issues reports to technical leads and project managers.
Provide end-user problem resolution. Identifies and resolves issues for users of deployed software applications by performing problem diagnosis.
Perform a variety of technical and administrative activities related to the function of QA, including, but not limited to training, scheduling, checklist development, report writing, and facilitating root cause analysis.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum two to four years general information technology/systems experience. Associate's degree in computer technology with two years’ experience in quality assurance and software testing preferred. Must have an understanding of web technologies and software tools to evaluate and resolve technical and end user issues. Must be able to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide range of technical software-related issues. Must exhibit strong oral and written skills. Must be organized and detailed oriented and capable of delivering end user support.Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
