Multiple Levels of AFIS Specialists

ORAU is pursuing multiple contracts that will require AFIS Specialists with varying levels of experience to join the National Security team. Primary responsibility of AFIS Specialist is the classification and comparison of known fingerprint and palm print images; encoding and searching of known fingerprints and latent print images in an automated fingerprint identification system; generating Electronic Biometric Transmission Specification (EBTS) files. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience (1 for 1) and a minimum of three to 10 years of AFIS Specialist experience in the classification and comparison of known fingerprint and palm print images; encoding and searching known fingerprints and latent print images in an automated fingerprint identification system (AFIS); generating Electronic Biometric Transmission Specification (EBTS) files. Current certification by the International Association for Identification (IAI) as a Tenprint Examiner preferred. For those not possessing IAI Tenprint certification at the point of employment, such certification must be successfully obtained within 1 year of hire. Obtain and maintain a security clearance.
