How to Find a Participant

Once you have identified a research project for an ORISE participant, ORISE can assist with the solicitation and collection of applications. You may choose to have applications sent directly to your office at the CDC, or to us. If they are sent to ORISE, we will screen them to ensure that the candidates meet the basic eligibility requirements before forwarding them to you or your designee.
To post an opportunity with us, please email Jeannette Bouchard with the project description, the candidate’s necessary qualifications, what application materials you would like candidates to submit, and where they should be submitted. You do not need to send this information in a specific format/template; we will revise the posting to meet our website’s format and guidelines. Here is a sample posting showing our formatting, standard language, and what types of information we recommend you provide to candidates. If you wish to use a template, you may download it.
ORISE generally assists CDC offices in recruiting new fellows through two avenues:
- We post current research openings at the CDC on this site and on our ORISE website.
- We post opportunities at Emory University’s Public Health Employment Connection.
Posting opportunities is an optional service which ORISE performs for customers on request. CDC offices may use any recruitment strategy which they find most effective, and are not required to announce opportunities with ORISE prior to bringing a new fellow on board.
We may be able to provide additional assistance with targeted recruitment strategies for specific projects. Please contact Jeannette Bouchard for more information.
