Automated Job Hazard Analysis (AJHA)® Web Application
Presentation on the Automated Job Hazard Analysis (AJHA)® Web Application. This system has the capability to identify hazards, link in with emergency response actions (e.g., road blockage), and facilitate notifying emergency responders. It also can be used in the deployment of resources for locations having the potential for chemical spills, but it is not a chemical commodity management tool.
Mark Hermanson, Fluor Hanford
- 8:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
-
Screening and Analysis of Mixed Waste
Presentation on insights gained from recent applications of current guidance to the screening and subsequent EPHA analysis of Hanford tank (mixed) waste. The objective is to begin a dialogue aimed at achieving Hazards Assessment Subcommittee consensus on best practices for addressing mixed hazards within the DOE emergency management system.
Jim Jamison, SAIC
- 9:15 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
-
Screening Dilute Mixtures
Short presentation on screening considerations for dilute mixtures consisting predominantly of inert gases and small quantities of hazardous gases having an NFPA Health Hazard Ratting (HHR) of 3 or 4. The presentation proposes that NFPA HHR applies to the constituent, while screening should be based on the concentration of the constituent.
Wayne Davis, WSMS
- 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
-
Hazards Assessments and Surveys Panel
A one-hour panel discussion and benchmarking session aimed at sharing information concerning the processes, procedures, and documentation needed to support performing hazards surveys and hazards assessments.
