May 2005 EMI SIG Meeting
Emergency Management… and all that Jazz was the theme of the 2005 DOE Emergency Management Issues Special Interest Group (EMI SIG) Meeting held in New Orleans, Louisiana, May 2-5. A record of over 200 persons participated in the annual meeting of DOE and contractor emergency management professionals.
This meeting was hosted by the Strategic Petroleum Reserve Office (SPRO) and DynMcDermott Petroleum Operations Company.

Opening Session

Concurrent Sessions
Sessions were offered on May 2 and 3 on a variety of topics, ranging from Technology, Emergency Public Information, BioSafety, Transportation Emergency Preparedness, External Events, and Software Quality Assurance.
Subcommittee Meetings
Four of the EMI SIG subcommittees met on May 1: Exercise and Drill, Hazards Assessment, Emergency Public Information, and the DOE Meteorological Coordinating Committee. The Subcommittee on Consequence Assessment and Protective Action met on May 4.
