Over 200 people attended to address the theme, Emergency Management Roundup: Expect the Unexpected, at the 2007 Annual Meeting, held at the El Tropicano Riverwalk Hotel, in San Antonio, Texas, May 7-12, 2007.

2006
A record 265 persons gathered to address the theme, External Events, the Wildcard of Emergency Management, at the 2006 Emergency Management Issues Special Interest Group (EMI SIG) Annual Meeting, held at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, May 1-4, 2006.

The focus of the meeting was on events such as hurricanes, wildland fires, and pandemic influenza that are external to the operations of Department of Energy / National Nuclear Security Administration facilities but which could have a tremendous impact on them. Bechtel SAIC sponsored the meeting.
