Use of Social Media for the Emergency Management Issues Special Interest Group (EMI SIG)

The EMI SIG is on social media sites as part of its mission to foster the exchange of information, resources and products to support the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration (DOE/NNSA) emergency management community.

EMI SIG’s social media ventures function as supplemental outreach for information sharing and collaboration. The EMI SIG does not endorse any non-government websites, companies or applications.

If… Then…
You would like to view the EMI SIG’s social media sites, Check with your cybersecurity department before engaging on any social sites.
  Protect social media authentication credentials in the same manner as protecting Federal authentication credentials.
  Do not register or log into social media sites using your government email unless being used for official government use as approved by a supervisor or management.
  Do not use the same password on social media sites as used on an official government desktop.
  Do not post or exchange DOE/NNSA information on social media sites that is not publicly releasable or publically available.
