Communicating Beryllium Health Risks Training

Client: U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and DOE Contractors

ORISE developed Communicating Beryllium Health Risks Training, which has been used by contractors across the DOE system to give beryllium workers the knowledge they need about how to work safely.

Over 100 DOE current and former employees have chronic beryllium disease, an incurable form of pulmonary fibrosis that can develop within months or as long as 30 years after exposure to beryllium.
