Health Communication in Guam

Client: Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR)

The citizens of Guam were concerned that their exposures to PCBs may be causing a number of diseases.

In response, ATSDR asked ORISE to develop fact sheets on health issues such as asthma, lung and stomach cancers, leukemia, Parkinson's disease, diabetes, and arthritis. ATSDR took these fact sheets and produced age-specific, language-specific pamphlets for distribution.
