Electrical Safety (Video)
Product Description: The 17-minute training video, contributed by Los Alamos National Laboratory, presents an introduction for the general population to the safe use of electrical power in the workplace. Electrical power is traced from power plant transmission lines to the electrical outlets. The video also illustrates safe work practices for employees working around electrically powered equipment. Government and private agencies that help establish electrical regulations and guidelines are identified, particularly as they are relate to the DOE community. Lastly, the dangers of lightning and the proper indoor and outdoor responses to lightning storms are demonstrated.
