ADVISORY CHAIR RESPONSIBILITIES

The IH/OS SIG Advisory Chair will assume the following responsibilities:

  • Promote the IH/OS SIG within the DOE community.
  • Represent IH/OS SIG to his/her facility.
  • Coordinate closely with the IH/OS SIG Coordinator, Chair, and the Chair-Elect.
  • Provide leadership in sharing resources and seeking new resources to share throughout the SIG network.
  • Participate in SIG Steering Committee meetings, including conference calls, SIG membership meetings/workshops, and assume the IH/OS SIG Chair duties if the Chair or the Chair-Elect are unable to do so during such meetings.
  • Meet as needed with SIG Coordinator, Chair, Chair-Elect, and DOE SIG Sponsors/Advisors.
  • Monitor work of SIG task forces/teams if the IH/OS SIG Chair or Chair-Elect are unable to perform these duties.
