Women in Science and Technology Conference Slated in Oak Ridge

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. –The annual Women in Science and Technology Conference (WIST) will be held in Oak Ridge April 18-19, 2002.  The conference is designed to support and encourage women in the pursuit of degrees and careers in one of the sciences, engineering, mathematics, computer science, or related technology fields.

This year’s conference will include a tour of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory, in addition to presentations by women who are leaders in their field, opportunities to network, and a graduate fair. 

The cost is $20 and the registration deadline is April 12. 

WIST is sponsored by the Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Oak Ridge Associated Universities, and UT-Battelle.
