2008 Advanced CSEPP Public Affairs and Emergency Preparedness Course: Leveraging Web 2.0 for Emergency Public Information
This 3-day course will offer advanced instruction and hands-on experience in using the latest in cost-effective technology for communicating and collaborating information during an emergency. The course provides participants:
- A solid grounding in use of the latest social networking applications to better manage information and emergency response
- In-depth instruction in the process of developing, editing and posting emergency response related video to social networking Web sites and personal digital assistants (PDAs) as tools for improving public and response organization awareness as well as for just-in-time training
- Tools to better manage information and emergencies with high-powered PDA-based pubic affairs, medical and incident command applications
- This course will be beneficial for those involved in Public Affairs, Public Information, First Response, Planning and Technical or IT response
