WeB-MEDIS

WeB-MEDISThe Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) has designed, developed, and deployed the WeB-MEDIS system to provide emergency responders with a highly portable system for inputting and sharing patient data from the field. 

Patient vital signs, contamination, and transportation status are entered into a Palm or Pocket PC PDA, while being viewed by the receiving hospitals and emergency operations centers in the region. 

The WeB-MEDIS system has been successfully demonstrated in an event with more than 130 patients.

First responders tried out the new WeB-MEDIS system at an exercise in Colorado. Through WeB-MEDIS, responders can view and transmit patient information.
