CURRICULUM VITAE
Dr. Meineke is Director of the Bundeswehr Institute of Radiobiology affiliated with the University of Ulm. He serves in the German Military Medical Service with the rank of a Colonel and graduated with his MD degree from the University of Mainz. He did his residency in Dermatology at the Armed Forces Central Hospital in Koblenz and further study in dermatological radiation therapy at the Technical University of Munich. His research in experimental and clinical radiobiology while at the Bundeswehr Institute resulted in publication of his thesis "Molecular diagnosis and treatment of radiation damage" enabling him to reach the rank of Privatdozent at the Technical University of Munich and Professorship at the University of Ulm. Dr. Meineke is Adjunct Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Northwestern University, Chicago IL and expert member of different radiation related working groups and committees, such as WHO, GHSI and the German Radiation Protection Board.

2. Education
Born July 5, 1964 in Munich. Primary and secondary school in Birkenfeld.
Diploma from German secondary school qualifying for university admission, Birkenfeld, Germany 1983.
1983 – 1989 Medical school education including all state examinations necessary for the license as a medical doctor (MD)

1989-1992 Medical associate in dermatology, Armed Forces Central Hospital, Koblenz.
Simultaneously research work on the position dependance of the caloric nystagmus in the pigeon, Dep. of Neurophysiology University of Mainz, resulting in the degree of a doctor of medical sciences
