Research Project Description
An opportunity exists for a post-doctoral researcher or a visiting scientist at the PhD level. For the position in question, an individual with some or all of the following skill sets would be desirable:
1) Expertise in advanced wet chemistry based synthesis techniques for a range of materials systems that may include functional inorganic solids, polymers, nanomaterials, etc.
2) Experience with solution phase chemistry and electrochemical reactions.
3) Experience with a range of optical spectroscopy techniques (UV, Vis, Near-IR, Fluorescence, Raman, Luminescence, etc.).
4) Expertise in surface chemistry and solid / gas interactions at surfaces of inorganic solids (TPR, TPD, BET)
5) Materials characterization experience (XRD, XPS, SEM, etc.)
