About Cyber Innovation Center
The Cyber Innovation Center (CIC), through its workforce initiative CYBER.ORG, is expanding its decade-long mission of providing cybersecurity education and workforce development resources to K-12 educators. The result of this work has yielded a population of students whose cybersecurity knowledge is leading them to pursue careers in cyber and other emerging technology fields. The dual nature of AI as both a defender and potential weapon, makes it an essential learning component of cybersecurity. By equipping learners with the skills to harness AI’s capabilities responsibly, we can prepare the next generation to navigate and secure an increasingly AI-driven digital landscape.
As a national workforce development organization, we are developing accessible, high-quality resources like our AI Essentials Course, to build foundational knowledge in ethics, algorithms, generative AI, and cybersecurity. These resources are designed to promote responsible innovation, critical thinking, and digital citizenship, preparing students for future careers in emerging technology fields.
To expand beyond the K-12 space, the CIC partners with higher education and industry to strengthen the national talent pipeline. To date, we have reached over 45,000 K-12 educators and 5.6 million students across all 50 states and four U.S. territories. The CIC aims to train 6,500 educators, reach one million students, and host 250 professional development events across the country.
