The program will benefit you by enhancing your education and training in radioactive waste related fields, increasing your marketability in these disciplines, providing you with access to top scientists and state-of-the-art projects and equipment related to the CBFO/DOE mission, and by encouraging you to seek employment in DOE facilities.

If appointed to the program, you will participate in and contribute to CBFO/DOE mission-related programmatic and research activities under the guidance of senior staff. Appointments may be up to one year, and may be renewable for up to five years, based on the needs of the program, satisfactory performance and continued availability of funding. Appointees must be U.S. citizens.
