Become a Hosting Facility for the EERE Robotics Internship Program

The EERE Robotics Internship Program presents the opportunity to federal national laboratories and organizations in the private sector to host highly competitive, problem-solving and innovative students. This program provides students with knowledge and experience within these sectors to consider for future employment and careers in these areas.


The EERE Robotics Internship Program is a unique collaboration between public and private sectors to further the development of the future technical, advanced manufacturing and engineering workforce. EERE will provide hosts an opportunity to experience the benefits of a centralized internship program designed to engage innovative thinkers and problem solvers with teamwork expertise.

The EERE Robotics Program provides centralized:

  1. Recruiting for students nation-wide with skills earned through robotics team competitions
  2. Application—to include resumes, transcripts, citizenship verification and internship preference
  3. Portal for public and private industries to register to host internships
  4. Portal for companies to review applicants and select candidates based on their best fit
  5. Appointment processes, documentation, stipend and travel payments, and final project documentation

ORISE, managed by ORAU on behalf of DOE, will administer this program for EERE.
