Managing Mentor Opportunities
Zintellect is an automated system where mentors can search for and view any Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) opportunities to which they have been assigned. Mentors can also use Zintellect to review applications and recommend candidates for their agency or department’s mentoring opportunities.
Zintellect requires verification for mentor-level application access. When a mentor has completed the registration process, ORISE will review the information and approve access to the system. This process usually is completed within one business day after mentor registration.
For questions or more information, email Zintellect@orau.org.
Research Opportunities for Students, Graduates and Faculty
If you know a current student, recent graduate, postdoc or faculty member who you would like to mentor, Zintellect provides listings of internships, experiential learning opportunities, and fellowships funded by government and private sector organizations. These programs are administered by ORISE and its managing contractor, ORAU. Opportunities encompass research and non-research participation programs established by DOE, as well as other federal agencies that aim to strengthen the scientific and technical workforce in areas of science, transfer of knowledge and technology to the academic community, and support to the national commitment to science education.
