How to Find a Participant

ORISE is constantly receiving applications for the four general mission areas of ARS research:

  • Nutrition, Food Safety, and Quality
  • Animal Production and Protection
  • Natural Resources and Sustainable Agricultural Systems
  • Crop Production and Protection

ORISE retains applications in a “general pool” and makes those applications available to ARS Principal Investigators (ARS PI)/mentors, so they can immediately begin their search for potential candidates. The ARS PI/mentor may register at the ORISE Zintellect website to search for and view general opportunity postings and review candidate applications.

ARS employees may access the ARS requirements and guidelines for hosting ORISE research participants on the ARS intranet.

When a mentor has a specific candidate opportunity, ORISE will advertise the specific candidate opportunity and will post the candidate opportunity on their ARS program website and on the ORISE website.

We may be able to provide additional assistance with targeted recruitment strategies for specific projects. Please contact USDA-ARS@orau.org for more information.
