Meet Sara Mueller

Bio: Sara Mueller is a physicist based in Providence, RI. She earned her Ph.D. at The Ohio State University under the advising of Prof. Jay Gupta on the topic of single atomic defects in semiconducting materials using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). Afterwards she worked with Prof. Carlos Meriles at City College of New York through the IC Postdoctoral Fellowship program developing machine learning approaches for noise mitigation in diamond spin qubits. She is currently the Laboratory Physicist at Brown University where she manages the instructional labs and outreach activities for the Department of Physics. When she isn’t in the lab, Sara enjoys knitting, gardening, and listening to interesting podcasts.
