ORISE Health Studies Operations Manager Gregory Nichols

ORISE Health Studies Operations Manager Gregory Nichols has been named Occupational Safety Topic Lead for the Energy Facility Contractors Group’s (EFCOG) Industrial Hygiene, Safety & Chemical Management Community of Practice, which aims to promote safe work practices and a healthy workforce while supporting effective and efficient operations in DOE and related EFCOG organizations in all aspects of industrial hygiene, safety, and chemical management.

Through its Meetings, Surveys, and Task Teams, the community of practice will gather, evaluate, develop, and share performance measures, best management practices, and lessons learned consistent with the principles and functions of Integrated Safety Management. Nichols will be responsible for organizing activities related to the Occupational Safety aspects of the charter functions, which includes organizing monthly webinars on safety topics, identifying experts to speak about safety topics, participating in and organizing surveys and reports related to safety topics, and speaking about safety topics at annual meetings.
